Description: This course teaches young students knowledge and techniques to help them get into a Middle School Science Bowl team and be ready for competing in a Regional and National Science Bowl. At the same time, the students are going to learn a lot of science as well. We promote knowledge (Science & Math), intense concentration, fast and creative thinking, leadership, responsibilities, and teamwork.

The instructor was Stoller Middle School Science Bowl Team 1's coach during the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 school years. Both years, his team was invited to Washington D.C. to compete in the National Science Bowl, all expenses paid, by winning the BPA Regional Science Bowl out of over 60 middle school teams from Oregon and Western Washington.

Launched in 1991, the National Science Bowl® (NSB), sponsored by U.S. Department of Energy, is a highly competitive science education and academic event among teams of high school and middle school students who compete in a fast-paced verbal forum to solve technical problems and answer questions in all branches of science and math.

Location: Northwest Education Center, Room 205
