Description: This course will introduce students to elements of programming languages, which may include some or all of the following topics: built-in types, conditionals and loops, arrays, input and output, functions and modules, algorithms and data structures, object-oriented programming, and analysis of algorithms.

Students will study abstraction and bottom-up design while developing simple software components. Students will study top-down design while exploring one or more larger case studies.

Students will learn about web programming using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The Java programming language may also be studied. And students may be briefly exposed to other programming languages as well depending on logistics and interests.
